VENETIAN GONDOLAS IN THE MIST
Lit by the soft morning light and veiled in mist, the endless bobbing gondolas, tethered to their moorings, appear as timeless relics. These iconic vessels, steeped in symbolism and nostalgia, are a common sight on the Grand Canal, ferrying animated loads of tourists. However, despite its splendour, Venice has not escaped the influence of commercialization, and the gondola has become a mere motif.
